Transflective Technologies

Anti-Reflection & Anti-Glare Protection Glass Coating Technology

What is it?

These two choices of optical enhancement solutions can be widely used in outdoor and indoor scenarios to enhance the performance of displays.

How does it work?

Anti-reflective (AR) coating functions in tough ambient lighting conditions. When using normal glass, strong reflection of the ambient light diminishes the visibility of the display. However, our special anti-reflective coated protection glass can increase contrast by enhancing the light transmission rate over 95% and can effectively diminish the mirror images. The multi-layered vapour deposition coating on either side is designed to minimize reflection and maximize transmittance.

Anti-glare (AG) coated protection glass is created when a microscopically rough surface is laminated on top of the display, and functions to diffuse glare. The chemically etched glass reduces reflection by scattering the light directed to its surface, and softens the image of direct light sources visible in the viewing area.

Benefits:

  • AR glass can reduce reflection and maximize transmittance
  • AG glass can scatter light directed onto its surface
